Sovereign Grace Church Homeschool Co-op exists to bring God glory through loving, patient and wise instruction across an array of enrichment topics. These topics are not meant to be comprehensive, but to expose children to good, beautiful and true ideas in areas of learning beyond our basic reading, writing and arithmetic. The hope is that laying down this feast of beautiful ideas will be the springboard for kids who will learn to love to be life-long learners! 

The topics and teaching styles of this co-op are derived mainly, but not exclusively, from Charlotte Mason. We provide a loop schedule that introduces children to famous composers, artists, poets and thereby exposing them to and inspiring them toward good music, art and poetry. Periodically and depending on our volunteer team, we will have STEM studies and beyond. Once a month we will go on a nature walk or a field trip to further inspire and challenge the children. The volunteer teachers in this group are not expected to be experts, but they are fabulous homeschool moms who love to teach. 

This co-op also exists to bring God glory through times of fellowship and fun. It is a weekly opportunity for moms and kids alike to deepen friendships and be a source of encouragement to one another. 

This co-op exists to bring God glory through the careful teaching of God’s word and the singing of His great truths. We will always seek to be theologically sound, distinctly biblical and careful to present truths to the kids in winsome and understandable ways. Every month the children will have the opportunity to learn a hymn, cultivate a habit and memorize scripture. 

Finally this co-op exists to be a group effort to raise and school our children together, across a broad span of ages. The older children stay young as they play and care for the younger. The younger children can admire and learn from the older. Each parent in the group carries with him/her God’s varied grace to sow into every child.  As we do life together every Friday, we get to serve one another and bring God glory!
